MARRIED: KAY + TOMMY

I recently reconnected with the first bride I ever shot. Kay and Tommy got married on New Year's Day in 2011. They are now expecting their first, a baby boy! It was fantastic to see Kay and it set me thinking about how much my skills have improved since their small, simple and beautiful wedding.

It is pretty clear that I was still "working at it" at this point, but I couldn't have felt more honored that Kay trusted me with her wonderful wedding day, and that I got to witness such a special friend getting married. Now to talk them into letting me do a maternity shoot...

MARRIED: DIANA + MICHAEL

My first ever wedding. Boy was this a blast from the past to edit. I saw some gems going through, but I can see more how I have improved, developed and learned since this, especially about how to be prepared for shooting all day like this. If you ever want to hear about my most mortifying moment in life, it happened on this day. These folks are champs, though, and I am thankful they gave me a shot!
